Rhizomes of C. barometz were purchased in Hunan province of China，during May 2010，and were identified by professor WANG Bing. An authentic sample (No. 2010-14) was deposited in the herbarium of Liaoning University of traditional Chinese medicine， Shenyang， China.

    2Extraction and Isolation

    The dried rhizomes of C. barometz (15.0 kg) were powdered and extracted with 80% EtOH (3 × 30 L) to give the ethanol extract (1 000 g) ......
